Is My House Haunted?

We all have had experiences in our home where something just doesn't feel right.  We hear things that go bump in the night.  Most of us are quick to say "Sure it's Haunted" because we need a fast answer. Sometimes it's a way to say "I'm not crazy."  Either way, usually there is a logical explanation to your "haunting."

First, check and see how old your house is.  The older the house is, the more likely you will hear creaking noises, doors not fitting right allowing them to easily swing.  Things are not level anymore and there for stuff can slide out of place.  The older the home the more likely this is.  You may even hear whistling when the windows and doors are closed, because the windows are not sealed tightly.  One way to check is to stand by the window with a candle, and see if the flame flickers as you move the candle around the sill or door jam.

Pipes can be a cause of a haunted feeling.  Ever hear your toilet start to flush... it may not be because of a ghost, just a bad flapper.  In older units sometimes the pipes whistle, sometimes if they are not tightened properly if a two story house or basement you can hear rattling noises or bangs.

Also, are you near any high tension lines?  These give off tremendous EMF's, so do badly insulated breaker boxes.  If you are near any of these for a long period of time, or even a short period of time for someone more sensitive, you can feel dizzy, nauseated, feeling like you are being watched, hallucinate or get headaches.  Those are just some of the symptoms you may encounter.  Actually prolonged exposure to high EMF waves can be dangerous to your health and can cause cancer.

If none of this is in play, then you may have something.  One way to know is to find out the history of your house.  Was it used publicly, is it on or near a battle field, was anyone murdered in the house, did something tragic happen here.  Sometimes Satanic rituals can be performed opening a doorway to the underworld, and this you may never know but you may see signs that a ritual may have been performed here.  Ghosts don't usually just "Appear" at a house to haunt you.  Almost all the time they need something to cling to, ie.. house, furniture, etc.  Demons on the other hand don't necessarily need that to appear but it helps.  Truthfully, we don't really know what causes a haunting.

If you experience things that you can't explain like strange marks on your body that you don't know how they got there, seeing apparitions, seeing to the NAKED eye an orb.  Seeing stuff move or break, hearing sounds or voices, these may be signs of an actual haunting.  Sometimes ghosts are harmless, sometimes they are not.  Just because the house is haunted does not mean you have to move right away.  That is where you need help, bring in someone who can capture evidence to determine "What is going on, if it is haunted what kind of haunting, and hopefully come up with a solution for you."
