Can I Do Anything Myself?

Many people that have a haunting want to do something themselves if they can.  Those that do not know what they are doing can make matters worse.  If you suspect your establishment or home is haunted try some of these solutions.

1.  EVP's.     This solution is a easy way to see if you have a ghost.  Before you even attempt to cleanse or bless a place, get an idea of what you have.  A blessing will only "Anger" a demon more, but will do well with a human spirit.  Capturing EVP's will help you figure out what kind of spirit is in your home.  Take an ordinary tape player that can record, or a little hand held digital voice recorder and go through the house, ask questions and wait for answers.  Do it throughout the day, and night, for a few days.  Mark a new day and time with your voice each time you start and stop, and be sure to acknowledge any sounds you make that will trick someone thinking the noise may be caused by a ghost.  Then play it back and see what you hear.  Take your findings to an investigator and come up with a solution.

2. Cleanse the House-  You can try an old Native American and Pagan ritual of Sage cleansing.  Get yourself some sage sticks, light the stick and say a prayer of protection.  While going through the house, covering it with smoke from the Sage and making sure to get in every window and door jam.  Invite protection from the Divine God (Whom ever God you believe in), and ask the presence to leave.  If that does not work, you can try Frankincense rocks on coal starter discs and do the same thing. (Not recommended if you have any breathing problems)  the place will get horribly filled with smoke.

3.  Bless the house -  Most local pastors or priests will be glad to bless your home.  They will come in and say a prayer in each room, anointing it with oils and holy water.  Explain the situation to your local church pastor and set up a time.  Usually they will do it free of charge.  Only the Catholic Church recognizes and performs exorcisms, if it's needed.  You may also find a Wiccan Preist, Warlock or Witch that may do the same thing. 

NEVER EVER - Try to communicate with the entity using a Ouija board.  This has been known to communicate with them, but can open a portal that can cause more bad to enter.  In some cases you only had a human spirit, now you have a devious entity that will force the person to stay, and cause much more havoc, even injure the living.  Burning the Ouija board will burn the only portal back, so if you have used it DO NOT BURN IT or destroy it in ANY WAY.  Although it can work, and nothing more may happen except get the answers you need.  We STRONGLY suggest not using a board for any communication.  Try getting an EVP it's safer.
