I've always believed in "ghosts", ever since I was a kid.  One of my very first experiences was going up to Upstate New York to visit my mother's friend.  We would stay in this house, I don't know how old it was but it was old.  I remember being 4-5 years old and I used to love going up there.

The house itself was great, in the middle of the woods, had an old cast iron wood stove and we could sit by, there was a fresh water stream right down the road that we could fish in, coming from the concrete jungle called Brooklyn, this place was a blast.  Lots of good memories!  Yet, I had to sleep in this room, nothing special about it.  Just a regular room with a set of bunk beds, the carpet was this horrible pea green color.  That could have been what scared me the most!  Long story short, I always remember the flies.  Yes flies, not one, not two but there must have been about 50 flies in this room at one time.  The house could be 60 degrees inside but yet this room was always 80 degrees and it was full of flies, dead flies, live flies, and they would never leave the room.  What's worse is that there were bunk beds and of course being a kid you want to sleep on the top bunk!  So that's what I did, little did I know I was nose to nose with the door to the attic.  My mother tells me now that one day everyone was hanging out downstairs and they heard thumping noises...so they go to the second story and realize that it's above them.  They finally followed the sound to the attic...sure enough the attic was a crawl space, and the only thing in it was a chair.  To this day I can talk to my mom about that room and she knows all about it!  I was never scared and I never saw anything that made me upset.  But now that I am older, all I can think of is hmmm...something was just not right!  What I would do to be able to investigate that house now!

I like thinking out of the box, I always have.  I've always had a hard time wrapping my head around people who say "there is no such thing" (ok well how the hell do you know!?!)  That drives me nuts!  If people were just a bit more open minded this world wouldn't be so bad sometimes.  Ghost hunting to me is a challenge.  As much as I believe in something, I need to see it with my own two eyes and that's what we're here to do!  You know what they say - never believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.  I don’t know if I will ever come face to face with a spirit or an alien or anything else for that matter.  But hey, it’s worth a shot and if we can help people in the process that makes it all worth while in the long run.
